Welcome

Our visitor attraction is located at Sumburgh Head, the most southerly point of Shetland Mainland, surrounded by an RSPB Nature Reserve. We have four museum displays within former lighthouse buildings, where we have been sharing the story of Shetland’s first Stevenson Lighthouse with visitors since 2014.

Whether you take a tour of our museum displays, visit our gift shop or watch for Puffins, Guillemots and Whales from the comfort of our café, we guarantee a sensational experience.

We are accessible for wheelchair users around *most of our visitor centre and can cater for anyone with other specific access requirements.

Please get in touch if you require any further information about specific access or need advice on planning a visit.

*Our WWII Radar Hut is complete with original blast walls and narrow, stepped entrance.
