Entry into the gift shop is accessible to wheelchair users and a ramp is available for exit from the engine room. Please ask staff for assistance if required to ensure social distancing can be maintained. The Gift Shop, Engine Room, Smiddy and toilets are level access areas, and a lift is available if required to move between the two floors within the Marine Life Centre. For your continued safety, lift access is currently restricted to those people with mobility needs, with hand sanitisers located outside the lift doors. Access to the Radar Hut is stepped, so not suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.
Accessibility and face coverings
Staff will be wearing transparent face coverings to ensure those customers who lip read can see their faces. We recognise that some people are unable to wear face coverings. You can apply for an exemption card, however, these are not compulsory. Those who are exempt are shown below.
