World War II Anniversary Talks

Archaeologist, Chris Dyer, will hold an informal session about the Sumburgh Head Radar Hut and it's operational significant during WWII, followed by an evening lecture on the Radar Hut in context.  

2.00pm - Informal session and discussion on the Radar Hut, held in the Education Centre.

6.00pm - Evening Lecture on the Radar Hut and its context.  This will be held in the Education Centre, and followed by a visit to the Radar Hut, which re-creates the scene as it would have been on the night of April 8th 1940.

Both events are free to attend and no booking is required.
