Rare Black headed bunting spotted at SumburghHead

At 07:35am Paul Harvey, the Natural Heritage Officer for The Shetland Amenity Trust spotted  part of a flock of meadow pippets, who flew over head in an excellent example of visible migration. This included a black headed bunting.
A lot of rmigrant birds  will be visible over the next 4-6 weeks as they pass by Sumburgh Head at the most southern tip of mainland Shetland.
