*Open as usual during roof repairs* (May/June 2023)
Published: 01 January, 1970
Our historic engine room building is undergoing essential roof repairs during May and June 2023. We are open as usual during construction and apologise for any inconvenience as we work to care for this wonderful heritage building.
It is important that we do this work in the summer months in order to try and capitalise on better weather where possible. If you have any questions or concerns please get in touch and our team will be happy to help.
Access throughout the indoor and outdoor areas of the site will remain open as usual. We are erecting scaffolding around the engine room roof so access to the viewing deck at the back will be restricted during construction. We apologise for any inconvenience. See site layout plan below.
Vehicle Access & Disabled Parking
Please park in the visitor car park at the bottom as usual. There will be no access for vehicles into the area around the buildings with the exception of guests staying in the visitor accommodation and for disabled parking. Please note that our designated Disabled Parking spaces have been temporarily relocated tothe courtyard opposite the cafe and toilets. See site layout plan below.
The drop-off and turning point is still available, please do not park in this area and keep it clear for others.
